Feature tours · Object arrays

Collect repeating details without repeating your work

Repeating groups of fields, such as attendees or line items, as many as each record needs.

Try it nowWatch the presentation

For example: an event registration with every attendee and their meal choice in one record. The same fields, settings and functions build anything you can imagine for your business.

Keep related details together

An object array starts with a field of the type fieldArray. Its settings decide how entries look and how many there can be:

Any field can be part of an entry

A field becomes part of the object when its Array setting names it. Name, email and meal all belong to attendees, so every attendee has all three. Any field type can join, and each entry keeps its own values.

Recognize each entry at a glance

Fill in the first attendee and the entry takes its title from the name, Ada Lovelace, so the list reads like the data. An entry with no name yet is called Attendee 2, Attendee 3 and so on.

Add, copy and remove, within your limit

Each entry can be copied, with its values, or removed. Add Another adds a fresh entry until Max Items is reached, then goes away.

Attendees, sessions and line items in one record

A form can have any number of object arrays, each with its own fields and settings. Sessions sits alongside attendees, titled by session name, with no limit.

Try it now

This is the tour's form, live. Add attendees with a name and meal, copy one, and add sessions. Attendees stop at three. Nothing you enter is saved.

Event registration An event, then two lists of objects: the people coming, and the sessions they pick. Event name Attendees Attendee 1 Add Another Attendee Sessions Session 1 Add Another Session
